As you know, we purposely keep dues low so that all children will have the opportunity to join. While it is our mission to serve more youth who need us most, we are beset with the same economic challenges that have brought whole industries to the brink of collapse.
Growing up in today’s world isn’t easy for any child, but for many kids in our community, it is tougher than you may think.
All young people struggle with making friends and fitting in, but what if you also had to worry about where your next meal was coming from or how safe it was for you to go to school every day? At The Waltham Boys & Girls Clubs, we dream of a world where every child is given the opportunity to succeed in life and experience a brighter future.
It Just Takes One, the 2009/2010 Annual Campaign for the Waltham Boys & Girls Club, has a goal to raise $100,000. The staff at the Waltham Boys & Girls Club provides children with activities designed to capture their interests, teach skills and build supportive relationships. These personal relationships are the means to a much greater end. They provide members with the opportunity to communicate rules and expectations; take on meaningful challenges; build self-confidence and self-esteem; and offer hope and opportunity. One person can make a lasting difference in the life of a child.
As you know, we purposely keep dues low so that all children will have the opportunity to join. You can help make this opportunity, to develop relationships with caring professionals and to experience programs that build character, by making a financial contribution.
We respectfully request that you consider making a personal donation to the It Just Takes One, 2009-2010 Annual Campaign. Funds raised in this campaign will be used for general operating expenses and are absolutely necessary to run our successful organization.
It just takes one person to help make our dreams come true. It just takes you. Your financial commitment will enable us to continue the work that will shape the future of our Club and the hundreds of children who attend each year.
Sincerely yours,
Madeline Osit
President
